Drawing on a range of models and theories, as well as many years experience and training, Marie seeks to provide an intervention that is tailored to your own individual needs.  One of the benefits of seeking psychological support privately is that you can work together to decide on the right approach for you at this point in time and are not tied to a set number of sessions or a limited style of working.

The range of models used are Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy (CBT), including the integration of third wave CBT therapies (eg: ACT - Acceptance & Commitment Therapy), CFT (Compassion Focused Therapy), CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) and Mindfulness approaches.  Marie is also strongly influenced by her training in IPT (Interpersonal Therapy) and EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing).

Marie obtained a degree in Psychology and Law in 1992 and then worked for several years within the Probation Service, at Broadmoor Special Hospital and at St Thomas’ Hospital, London.  During which time she held both clinical and research posts.  She has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from University College London (UCL), when she specialised in work with teenage boys in secure accommodation and in care.
