Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique resets the body to heal itself.  It is a gentle

form of bodywork using subtle moves over key structural points in the

body.  This is a truly holistic therapy that targets specific problems or

addresses the body as a whole.

The original Bowen Technique is extremely gentle and is considered

appropriate for anyone from pregnant women to newborn babies, the

frail and the elderly.  It can assist recovery from many conditions, from

traumatic injury to chronic illness, depending upon the individual’s

capacity to heal.

How does The Bowen Technique work?

A series of very gentle and precise Bowen moves are performed over the muscles and connective tissue. The Bowen Technique sends messages deep into the body, retrieving cellular memory of a relaxed, balanced way of wellbeing and initiating a cascade of beneficial changes which continue for several days.

The technique addresses not only the musculoskeletal framework, but

also the fascia, nerves and internal organs.  The body’s integrated

response may improve circulation and lymphatic drainage, aiding the

assimilation of nutrients and elimination of toxins.
