psychotherapist & Counsellor Cirencester

Kate Varney

Psychotherapist , Counsellor & Supervisor

Kate is an experienced psychotherapist, counsellor and supervisor and works with people with a wide range of challenges and difficulties that they are facing. People often seek therapy when they are at a transitional moment in their lives; when old ways of being are no longer feeling possible or useful, be that in relationships, in a workplace or within their own sense of self. In your work with Kate, you will have the opportunity to speak about your experiences and feelings; both now and in your past, and you will work together to develop an understanding of you and your life with the hope that this therapeutic process of reflection and insight might be transformative for you.
Coming for psychotherapy or counselling can be a difficult and even fearful moment in our lives but Kate will offer you a safe and confidential space, working from the comfortable and private therapy rooms in Cirencester. Kate is influenced by several therapeutic approaches, but her main approach is psychodynamic which means paying attention to every aspect of your lived experience, including your past, as a way of understanding what drives you today and how and why you respond to the world and to others in the ways you do.
